Pine Phytosterol

Pine phytosterol is a pure form of a high-quality extract derived from natural sources. Phytosterols are bioactive compounds with a similar chemical structure to cholesterol. Pine phytosterol is extensively used as a dietary supplement.

 Cholesterol-Lowering effect

Phytosterols hinder intestinal absorption of cholesterol and also efficiently excreted cholesterol through activating biliary action in the liver. Thus, this phytochemical can reduce serum cholesterol levels and is used as a lipid-lowering therapy. Multiple research studies reported that tablets or capsules containing phytosterols with a dose of 1g to 3 g per day for 4 - 6 weeks could significantly reduce LDL cholesterol.

Cardiovascular Diseases prevention

The lipid-lowering effect of Pine phytosterol is effective to prevent cardiovascular diseases by controlling mild to moderate hypercholesterolemia. Pine phytosterol is also considered an effective treatment for dyslipidemia.

Bergamot Orange fruit extract (Hesperidin)

Citrus bergamia is the botanical name of Bergamot Orange.  Hesperidin is a bioflavonoid present in citrus fruits.

 Reduce dyslipidemia

Bergamot polyphenols can reduce triglycerides and increase HDL-C. Bergamot inhibits pancreatic cholesterol ester hydrolase and HMG-CoA reductase.

Atherosclerosis risk reduction

Bergamot can lower the oxidation of LDL particles that reduce the risk of atherosclerosis

Prevent kidney damage

Bergamot reduces the risk of vasoconstriction mediated by the inflammatory condition to prevent kidney damage

Improve blood circulation

Hesperidin present in Bergamot Orange fruit improves blood vessel function. Hesperidin is used for blood vessel conditions such as hemorrhoids, varicose veins, and poor circulation.

Aged Garlic Allium Sativum Extract

The food value of garlic is huge due to its nutritional properties. The presence of allicin in aged garlic has a potent antioxidant property.

 Treatment of hypercholesterolemia

Garlic has anti-hyperlipidemic action. Multiple research findings supported that garlic extract could reduce the level of total cholesterol level and LDL. Garlic also inhibits squalene monooxygenase and HMG-CoA reductase that control cholesterol biosynthesis.

Risk reduction of fatty liver disease

Lipid-lowering mechanisms of garlic and correction of faulty lipid metabolism due to excessive fatty food intake can reduce the risk of fatty liver.

Prevents liver and kidney disorders

The antioxidant property of garlic prevents drug-induced liver and kidney toxicity

Weight management

Allicin present in garlic prevents weight gain. Animal research showed that the same amount of food consumption without allicin supplement increased the body weight, whereas animals treated with allicin supplement maintained stable weight or witnessed a slight reduction of body weight.

Niacin acts as a lipid-lowering drug beyond its role as a vitamin.

 Reduce harmful cholesterol

The beneficial effect of niacin reduces triglycerides and apolipoprotein-B containing lipoproteins like VLDL and LDL by decreasing fatty acid mobilization from adipose tissue triglyceride stores and inhibiting hepatocyte diacylglycerol acyltransferase. Niacin increases intracellular apo B degradation. All these mechanisms subsequently decrease the secretion of VLDL and LDL particles.

Cardioprotective benefits

Niacin regulates abnormalities in plasma lipid and lipoprotein metabolism that can prevent atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The mechanism of action of niacin raises HDL by decreasing the fractional catabolic rate of HDL-apo AI without affecting the synthetic rates. Additionally, niacin selectively increases the plasma levels of Lp-AI,  a cardioprotective subfraction of HDL in patients with low HDL.
